I like Varner's attitude...he seems pumped for this one and it should be a great fight. He also made an interesting point about interim titles...

I know right, 'Henderson came to grapple, not fight' < sore loser attitude.

Well Henderson just destroyed Cerrone in their last fight, and Varner did beat Cerrone.

How are you gonna say he beat Cerrone? He f@cking punked out after a glancing blow from that knee. He was like " Oh, boo hoo, I cant See" bullshit! He was so thankful for an opportunity to get out of that fight he couldve shit himself. The Cowboy will take what is rightfully his this time.

Yeah, he seems to have matured at least a little since he fought cowboy. But what he said about interim titles was dumb. They only do those when the champ is out for a little while and they always do it just in case his injury or illness makes him not fight even longer. Like what if Brock had suddenly gotten sick again right before the Shane fight. And if there was no interim belt everyone would be furious that there's no champion in commission at the time. It's just something that's gotta be done if the champ's out for too long. So we all know who's taking over if he takes too damn long. That was kinda stupid. He's alright though. Cerrone definitely deserves that rematch though so they can finish that first fight that ended in a bad way.

From a fighters perspective nothing he said was dumb. I agree with what you are saying but in his perspective hes not necessarily thinking about the fans so much as just simply saying that he busted his ass to get the title and in a sense sharing that glory with someone else even though they havent beat him. There is some logic in his thinking just not business logic.
