Garcia, Pettis, Roop and Joseph Benavidez win $10k bonuses at WEC 47

WEC 47 victors Leonard Garcia, George Roop, Anthony Pettis and Joseph Benavidez received an additional 10 thousand dollars bonus to their purse for wonderful performances at the event.

Joseph Benavidez provided the shocker of the night after choking out the relentless Miguel Angel Torres in the second round of their fight, which earned 12-1 fighter a prestigious "Submission of the Night" Award. Leonard Garcia and George Roop went toe-to-toe in a very entertaining fight that was well-worth it's "Fight of the Night" Bonus, as Anthony Pettis received "Knockout of the Night" Award after brutally finishing Danny Castillo in the first round of their preliminary war.

World Extreme Cagefighting will return to action in their next event, WEC 48: Faber vs Aldo, which will be the promotion's debut on the PPV. The fight card will feature some of the biggest WEC stars (except the main event) in Donald Cerrone, Mike Brown, Ben Henderson and Jamie Varner. The event will take place on April 24, at ARCO Arena in Sacramento, California.
