retiring shouldnt be on his mind. sure he may not ever be able to better aldo, but he still has several good fights ahead of him. he is only 30 after all

Yeah, he will. Still a great fighter, Jose aldo is just to good.

He should drop down to 135, he could easily make it. Although some nitwits on this site have said he cant. But he talked about moving down after the mike brown loss. He is just too short to fight at that weight. He looks like sean sherk at welterweight.

Yeah, it's the same thing I was thinking. He'd kick some ass there.

I don't know, man. I know UF can make the weight and he'd be a powerful 135, but I've heard that Aderson Silva has said that he's also thinking about moving to 135 and giving it a try, so, I don't know what the point would be. However, even if he stays at 145 it wouldn't matter, because Silva is thinking about dropping to that weight,, as well; oh, well.

he can make easy the weight but Josep Benavidez his friend and training partner is at 135 and his probably going to fight for the title vs cruz very soon , so i think it depends if he can beats cruz if not

then i think he will drop to 135

Maybe, maybe not. But that shouldn't matter. Faber is still a great fighter, and hey if Aldo ever ends up moving to UFC then he'll have his chance. He definitely still has a good future though.

As long as Aldo is there, he won't be. If someone else beats Aldo, UF will be the champ again.

faber will never be champ as long as he is in the same weight class as aldo.

he needs to run up to lw or bw for now.

then hopefully when aldo bumps up to lw, faber can return and finish his career at fw.

    why?

the wec only has like 2 top contenders per weight class.

i don't think he could beat benhendo, but he has a better shot against him than he does aldo.

it's the exact same w/ ufc's mw division.

if you can't beat silva, drop or jump to ww/lhw

He will nvr take the Title from Aldo. If he does move weight classes he will can be a champ. The WEC will give him a title shot fairly quickly because he is their golden boy.

He'll remain a good fighter but his days as a champ are over. I don't think he can beat Cruz if he moves down. We just saw what happens when he takes on someone with more speed.

I think he should work on his takedowns and ground game. If he can't win on his feet, he needs something else to go to.

I think Aldo will move up to 155 and go to the UFC in a year or two so then 145 will be open again. But do I see Faber beating Aldo? Not likely, I was impressed by Aldo in his previous fights but this was his real graduation party imo, the way he so easily dominated Faber on the ground was incredibly impressive.

unfortunatley not while Jose Aldo is the champ at 145. If Aldo leaves Faber will be champ again no doubt

He will become Champ, he would have a better chance if Jose Aldo wasn't in the WEC picture.

I love that Amp commercial he was in: "Before every moment there is a moment."

They need to change it to: "Before you get your ass handed to you in a moment, you might need a moment."

    LMAO!
