Canadian UFC fighters set sights on WEC 49: Varner vs Shalorus

World Extreme Cagefighting will return to the spotlight next month with an attractive WEC 49: Varner vs Shalorus fight card. Former WEC Lightweight Champion Jamie Varner will look to begin his climb back to the top against the unbeaten Kamal Shalorus (6-0), after losing to Ben Henderson at WEC 46 in the Lightweight Title Unification bout.

Also, fan favorite Featherweights Josh Grispi and LC Davis will square off for the possible shot at Jose Aldo's title, fighting at the co-main event of the evening. WEC 49: Varner vs Shalorus will be held at the 16,000-capable Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, on June 20th.
