With Sonnen out of Forrest Griffin fight, Little Nog wants in
Posted on October 19, 2012, 11:44 AM by Andreas HaleNow that Chael Sonnen is coaching opposite Jon Jones on the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter, Forrest Griffin is left without an opponent at UFC 155. UFC President Dana White stated during a conference call that Griffin would remain on the card and an opponent would be found.
Enter, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
The fighter affectionately known as "Little Nog" took to Twitter to let everyone know that he's ready to step up and face Griffin in Las Vegas on December 29. "I'm 100% and training again. Put me in against @ForrestGriffin on UFC 155! This fight was scheduled once, let's do it now!" Nogueira tweeted.
As you may recall, Nogueira and Griffin were slated to face one another at UFC 114 back in 2010. Griffin had to pull out due to an injury and Nogueira would up nearly being upset by Jason Brilz. After that controversial victory, Little Nog dropped back to back decisions to Ryan Bader and Phil Davis. A TKO victory over Tito Ortiz at UFC 140 got him to 3-2 in the UFC. A knee injury has shelved him since then as he had to pull out of the Alexander Gustafsson at UFC on FUEL TV 2 in Sweden. But now Nog is healed up and ready to go.
While Dana White says he has a fighter in mind, Little Nog surely hopes that it is him.

Comments
Forrest had a better chance against Chael, Lil Nog is going to kick his ass I belive. Weak comment I know, but after working 12hours and all I can think right now is my baby's ass and a nice splif on the couch....
lol
@prino
Why not stop smoking weed and get motivated to earn enough money not to have to work 12 hours??
Just imagine, your new healthy life style, training mma instead of watching it on the TV.
Drugs are for mugs/ unless of course you have a medical condition.
Too true bro...
@odesahitman
Thanks for that little intervention man, but I am doing just fine. I have a college degree, a nice office and I earn enough money. That said, I also have a lot of responsability, wich sometimes causes stress, and one good splf takes it all away, that means I sleep like an angel, so I can work 10 to 12 hours a day.
As for mma, I've trained muay thai for almost ten years and I am still training and competing in BJJ, so yes, I can imagine it in a way...
That's bullshit.
Weed is no more dangerous than a beer--and you can partake and train also.
You sound like Nancy Reagan.
BTW: I have been a successful consultant for years who runs 5 miles a day, and works out with weights and the heavy bag and occasionally has a joint.
The work I do requires enormous concentration, creativity, attention to detail, and a prodigious memory.
Please don't perpetuate the lies of William Randolph Hearst et al.
Successful in comparison to who? :)
Seriously, it's a general argument, not specifically aimed at the people who can, but the people who can't and the people who haven't yet tried. Weed is a gateway drug, if a person can use it without it causing harm to themselves and enjoy it - great!
However for young guys who aren't out of high school, (no pun intended)... comments which positively position weed can be destructive and damaging.
Why do drugs have to be mentioned on an mma site anyway?
Have you done any community work supporting young people who have drug related issues?
Personal note
As a consultant, please don't provide statistics which don't look at the personal human cost of drug abuse.
@Codemaster,
I am Nancy Reagan. Ron says hi!
@purino,
Cool. Sounds like you're doing great.
Many people who smoke just can't manage a productive/ successful lifestyle. For those who can I think it's fine.
I think of the young impressionable guys who are getting into MMA... avoiding drugs is a good way for them to really have a long term training lifestyle... learning the mindset of respect etc... as opposed to another alternative of ending up with dodgy people.
(I understand the argument isn't fully formed - but I hope you get my point, and I'm glad you see it was meant respectfully and from a point of genuine concern).
B wishes
You seem a realy cool guy odesahitman, B wishes to you, too.
lol ****ing life coach right here. ur probably 1 of those people who thinks theyre better than everybody.
@kickassfast...
Sounds like in your world expressing concern makes a person a life coach, and for anyone expressing concern on some level they must think they're better than everybody.
I hope you get more experience in life of people showing genuine care and respect without acting from a place of superiority.
lol sure ur just some guy on a mma site. really u just played the same card again.u dont know anything about my world or who i am. so in reality ur being ignorant. you do realize that this is a casual website, so trying to influence peoples lives doesnt make sense. oh by the way ive smoked weed everyday for about 7 years and in person im one of the most respectful people ull ever meet, oh and i have no problems criminally ever. i cant say the same for every one else i know. my point is either u are going to be a troubled person in life or not. dont blame weed, because u dont have to do weed to be a bad person, either u know whats right or not. in fact u realize its been medicalized in alot of states right?
forrest nog? YESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYES
Phil Davis will fight Griffin. Confirmed.
