Who's at fault for Rampage Jackson leaving the UFC? Joe Silva!

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson has been very vocal about his plans to test the waters and perhaps sign with another organization once his current UFC contract is up. While his reasons seem to change from day to day, Jackson's latest object to blame comes in the form of UFC matchmaker Joe Silva.

After Jackson lobbied for a rematch with Forrest Griffin at UFC 153 -- which ended up going to Phil Davis -- or getting a crack at Glover Teixeira, Jackson was miffed and voiced his displeasure with coming out empty handed.

“This is why I’m leaving the UFC, I don’t understand what Joe Silva’s doing," Rampage said to Inside MMA. Jackson has long sought to avenge his title loss to Griffin back at UFC 86. When Chael Sonnen had dropped out of the Griffin fight to coach TUF opposite Jon Jones, Rampage figured that he'd finally get the rematch he desired. But that wasn't the case. "Joe Silva have a complex, something’s wrong with him. The guy can’t match shoes, what kind of matchmaker is this guy? What is he thinking? Give me Forrest.”

Jackson was critical of the Davis-Griffin matchup and suggested that it would be "boring" while a rematch between he and Griffin would be a fight that "would sell."

As of right now, there is no word as to who Jackson will be fighting next. But, whoever it is, expect him to be unhappy.

Rampage turned down coaching TUF against Sonnen as well.

It's not like the UFC isn't giving him oppertunities

You are kidding I'm sure, Rampage turned down a reality tv show against a 185p? Why would any serious fighter do such a thing....

Doesn't matter who you are, beating Sonnen is a notable thing. Besides that, money, hype your fight etc,

It's quite apparent Rampage doesn't want to fight wrestlers.

Ya he use to be funny but now I just wish the dude would just train, shut up and fight.

He acts like he deserves everything - he really needs to slow down and realize he making himself into a pure hater.

I would like to him fight Forrest but this isn't the type of trash talk that gets you places.

I hate how Rampage gets mad at guys for "humping" him. If you don't want to train in wrestling, don't compete in mixed martial arts. He calls out Chael but won't fight him, seems really hypocritical to me.

This is one of the biggest problems in the UFC, they worry way to much about keeping their fighters on a short leash to actually make the match ups we want to see.

I'd never thought I'd say this but the way MMA is going I might actually lose so much interest to stop watching and I have watched every major MMA event for about 15 years.

Are you losing interest in MMA or UFC?

Lets not forget Rampage left the UFC wanting to make movies.....After that dried up he wanted back in the. UFC to make more money. UFC were happy to have him back. he comes back for a paycheck and blames losses on every excuse under the sun.

Dana gives this dude anything he wants, he buys him cars, gives him shit loads in PPV and a massive fight purse.

    Rampage is just a punk

Always be remembered for being the first to have Liddell's number and for Silva smashing him into another dimension. Acted like a spoilt brat last couple of years though and needs to wind his neck in cos he's only gonna be remembered for that and nothing else if he isn't careful.

Rampage is a fighter who could have achieved more in MMA if he had been professional and applied himself to the different arts instead of whining how the rules favour certain styles, regardless if he was right or not the rules weren't changing for him and he could and should have adjusted his game because he could have been much better than what he was.

Don't know whats happened to Jackson, he used to be a no nonsense scrapper who seems more concerned with painting his diva ass nails than actual fighting. Shame to see, but I will always remember him doing Liddell. It was a watershed moment in the LHW division.

Rampage has gone from Champion to Journeyman, I wouldn't be excited on setting a fight up for him anytime soon ethier. Nothing about Rampage is appealing or marketable anymore.I hear Strike Force calling his name.

A once great fighter who is still playing diva even thought his days in the spotlight are over.

His lack of awareness makes him seem even more wash-upped than he already is. And in a constant feud with the UFC

Is Rampage the new Tito Ortiz?
