I am not American and thus have little knowledge on the law in America, but Silva should be indeed fined, technically he assualted sonnen, anything thats physical before the first bell of the fight and after the last bell of the fighter is assualt, surely i am right here? Well, I think the question about Chael being in Silva's head has been answered. Sonnen has certainly gone out of his way to provoke Anderson, so this kind of response isn't that surprising.



There's a real danger in fighting angry. If Silva is this tweaked up, and doesn't take Chael out quickly, he could have a major adrenaline dump.



Sonnen would be exactly the wrong style of fighter to have that happen against.

I actually thnk that it could be a cultural thing. Chael's taken a lot of heat for the way he hypes up fights, but almost all the fighters who have criticized him have been Brizillian. Wanderlei even warned him about "losing his teeth". I think that Silva felt the ultimate "F-U Chael" would have been to eternally deny him a title shot by throwing his weight around as champ. Were UFC still run by Brazillians, it might have worked.
