Man... Wanderlei just LOOKS like a weathered fighter these days. Definitely lost that 'I'm gonna stomp on your head viciously' look/persona as well.

But he's certainly a badass and a legend no doubt!

    @XP

I actually thought Wand looked great. Not only that, but I gave him the win in the stare down, too. He seemed to have a look of supreme confidence. I see this as Wand's fight to lose. If he stays composed and doesn't go rushing in like the Charge of the Light Brigade, which he usually does, then he should win.

And don't forget, this is in Japan. That might as well be home-turf to Wand. If anyone in MMA would ever want to deliver a fight for his fans and he has a lot of them in Japan, its Silva. The guy loves his fans.

I think if there was a drug test for confidence, Wand would test positive in this fight. Pride rules aside, I think this old veteran has too much confidence, experience and Karma in the room to lose, tonight. And don't forget, weathered or not, he's only 4 years older than Stann and Stann is someone who has come to this game late in life. Advantage Wand.

Don't be shocked if Wand wins.

I find it beyond preposterous that you gave Wanderlei "the win" in a staredown.

You really think he's going to have some kind of mental edge over a marine because he looked him in the eye? Give me a break. Stann has been in far more dangerous situations that in a cage with an unarmed man.

Yes - I gave him the win in the stare-down and I fail to see what Stann's Marine experience has to do with an MMA fight, stare-downs and mental edges.

And even if he didn't win the stare-down, he certainly won the fight and to me, that's the only thing that really matters.

He's a legend yes, even a badass, but he's a shell of what he was. He's probably gonna get KO'd (2d rd).

    Still like the guy.

I think TKO by punches is the only rule which is going to be required in this fight, regardless of who wins. My money is on Wand to be the winner, by that rule.

I have to say, I thought all my favs for tonight (Sanchez, Lombard, Hunt & Silva) all looked great! I think they all can win, tonight. They "should" all be great fights.

And a shout-out to Alex Caceres. I hope he takes the win, tonight.

MMA Truth..Interesting that you picked hunt with the height and reach disadvantage? I've picked Okami purely because Lombard kept complaining about his first loss to B. Okami also is a strong big guy with a tonne of experience.

I also Picked Stann but if wanderlie gets him in the clinch he is going to have a rough night

Yeah, I didn't really factor in Steph's reach. My thought was and it proved to be, was that Hunt would just walk through it. He's one tough Samoan.

Okami, yeah...you were right there. I think Lombard is proving to be a bust.

And Wand looked great. I was really happy to see that victory come to fruition.

This is only a temporary move for Stann at LHW....As for Silva I think he is just happy to put on one or more shows before he hangs up the gloves...he will probably stay at LHW because its becoming harder for him to cut the weight

WTF is Herb shouting a "work" command 5 seconds after Kim gets a full mount?
