UFC On Fox 9 went down lastnight in Sacramento, CA and provided a pretty exciting night of bouts. Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson defended his Flyweight title against Joseph Benavidez in dominant fashion; scoring a first round knockout and arguably jumping up the pound for pound list.

Urijah Faber dominated Michael McDonald in their Bantamweight meeting and Chad Mendes/Joe Lauzon scored unanimous decision victories in their respective tussles. The official payroll figures have been released and are as follows:

Total disclosed payroll: $1,007,000.

Demetrious Johnson: $175,000 (includes $50,000 win bonus)
vs. Joseph Benavidez: $42,000

Urijah Faber: $200,000 (includes $100,000 win bonus)
vs. Michael McDonald: $17,000

Chad Mendes: $90,000 (includes $45,000 win bonus)
vs. Nick Lentz: $29,000

Joe Lauzon: $60,000 (includes $30,000 win bonus)
vs. Mac Danzig: $32,000

Ryan LaFlare: $20,000 (includes $10,000 win bonus)
vs. Court McGee: $20,000

Edson Barboza: $52,000 (includes $26,000 win bonus)
vs. Danny Castillo: $31,000

Bobby Green: $36,000 (includes $18,000 win bonus)
vs. Pat Healy: $25,000

Zach Makovsky: $20,000 (includes $10,000 win bonus)
vs. Scott Jorgensen: $26,000

Sam Stout: $60,000 (includes $30,000 win bonus)
vs. Cody McKenzie: $12,000

Abel Trujillo: $20,000 (includes $10,000 win bonus)
vs. Roger Bowling: $12,000

Alptekin Ozkilic: $16,000 (includes $8,000 win bonus)
vs. Darren Uyenoyama: $12,000

These figures do not always include back room bonuses, sponsorship deals and also the additional fight night bonuses, which were outlined in the aftermath of the event. Anyone think ‘Mighty Mouse’ should be topping this payroll?

No surprise here... Urijah is a big name and fan favorite. DJ is getting there though especially after his last 2 performances and 3 FOX cards this year. Expect to see a BIG bump upwards in his pay after his next contract negotiations!

Indeed, Faber's been a big name since before there were big names in MMA other than Chuck Liddell. Faber's been doing commercials and such for YEARSSSSS, everyone loves the California Kid. Mighty Mouse will get a decent bump in pay. It's nice to see the pay outs for a lot of these fighters. Free show and all.

I agree with both your comments DeeJay. Faber's future looks bright if this is a true change and not just a coincidence. I liked his aggressiveness. Mighty Mouse was exciting.
