The medical suspensions from UFC Fight Night 39 were released earlier today by the Ultimate Fighting Championships following Fridays event. The results were given directly to mixedmartialarts.com for last weeks event which took place in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

With there being no sanctioning commission in the United Arab Emirates, the UFC regulated its own event and provided the suspensions to the MMA LLC, which acts as the record and suspension keeper for the Association of Boxing Commissions.

In total four fighters face possible possible long term suspensions including Roy Nelson despite him knocking out Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira in the nights main event. On top of "Big Country", Tatsuya Kawajiri, Jared Rosholt and Alan Omer all could face six month suspensions.

Nelson will need to be cleared by an orthopedist before he can return after damaging his right index finger. Apart from that the heavyweight was injury free.

Kawajiri faces his long term suspension after hurting his left eye in the nights co-main event against Clay Guida. The Japanese veteran needs to be cleared by an ophthalmologist to return.

The shortest suspension went to Thales Leites which was just seven days for mandatory rest after demolishing Trevor Smith in the prelims.
