The medical suspensions from Ultimate Fight Night 30 were released today, and the impactful news is that English Phenom Jimi “Poster Boy” Manuwa could be out of commission for six months.

The light-heavyweight fighter has made some big noise since entering the senior promotion in September of last year, racking up three straight wins and TKO stoppages, in just 13 months; extending his professional record to 14 & 0. Further, he sports an amazing 100% finishing rate, with no opponent, in or out of the UFC, making it past the second round, and even then, with only four doing so.

He is a beast of a man and is supremely confident in the ring. This past Saturday he demonstrated as such, when he methodically beat on his opponent, Ryan Jimmo and although the bout was waved off due to a leg injury to Jimmo, Manuwa was well on his way to finishing "Big Deal", and was subsequently awarded a TKO stoppage for his efforts.

However, in exiting the Octagon with the win, Manuwa also took with him an injury to his left hand and has been suspended for 180 days, pending doctor’s clearance and a required MRI. Fans will surely hope that the injury isn’t serious and the hand only requires rest, and not surgery. It would be nice to see this talented fighter back in the ring sooner, rather than later.

Ryan Jimmo also received a six month suspension for his ankle and like Manuwa, will need to be have an MRI done and be cleared by a doctor, before he can return to the Octagon.

The final big suspension was handed out to Rosi Sexton who got 90 days, with 60 days of no contact, for the beating that she took at the hands of Jessica Andrade. On that point, Rosi may have lost her first two UFC bouts, but she has demonstrated her toughness in both of them.
