UFC 177 Post-Fight Bonuses: Dillashaw, Medeiros, Ferreira, & Nijem Bank $50,000

Despite being deemed by many as the worst pay-per-view (PPV) card in UFC history, tonight’s (Sat., August 30, 2014) from the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California, actually delivered a solid main card for the few fans that decided to order it.

Bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw defended his title against late replacement Joe Soto, who provided a solid challenge on extremely short notice after original title challenger Renan Barao withdrew prior to yesterday’s (August 29, 2014) weigh-ins. Knocking out Soto with another fifth round head kick with some follow-up shots, Dillashaw earned UFC 177’s first $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus.
