UFC 156 combatants stepped on the scale in Las Vegas, Nevada, as part of the official weigh-in procedure ahead of tomorrow's stacked fight card.

Frankie Edgar weighed-in at 144lbs for his Featherweight debut, while the champ Jose Aldo hit the scale at 145lbs even. Bantamweights Edwin Figueroa and Francisco Rivera were the only fighters to miss weight, but will get additional time to shake off the reamining pounds.

As expected, Alistair Overeem and Antonio Silva engaged in a heated staredown, promising us a great fight on Saturday night. If Overeem defeats Silva, he will become the number one contender for the UFC Heavyweight title, currently held by Cain Velasquez.

Unicorns actually. They have a higher fat content left him a little chubbier, but now he's got magical ass kicking powers.

I'd be curious to know how much weight AO had to cut in order to make weight, because to look at him, it doesn't look like he cuts / cut much. He didn't look too lean or drawn out or as if he'd had any trouble out all, hitting 264. Heck, he didn't even take his pants or belt off or (even) empty his pockets and he was still a pound under. The man is a beast.

    Overeem Rd 1 TKO

I agree. That match up makes absolutely no sense to me. I was thinking about it the other day...

Rashad's top 3 at 205 and lil Nog's not even top 10. How does that work??

He's top 10 on a few different publications. Got a big win against Tito in his last fight.

Plus the whole "he really wants it" angle.

Kimura missed weight. I hope he loses via keylock submission.

^ And how does Rashad beating Lil Nog give Rashad a light heavyweight title shot?
