UFC Primetime: Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen Video Preview
Posted on June 28, 2012, 08:23 AM by Anton GurevichUltimate Fighting Championship is shifting gears in its promotional campaign for one of the biggest fights in MMA history - UFC Middleweight title rematch between Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen. The event will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, two years after the dramatic ending of the first fight between Sonnen and Silva in Oakland, California.
Both fighters fought twice since UFC 117. Anderson Silva demolished Vitor Belfort and Yushin Okami, while Chael Sonnen submitted Brian Stann and decisioned Michael "The Count" Bisping. Anderson Silva will be looking to defend his title for tenth time, and extend his undefeated streak inside the Octagon to 15.
Sonnen is expected to continue his verbal onslaught during in the Primetime build-up for UFC 148. Here's a nice quote from the preview:
"I've been paying the price since I was 9 years old when I started. I've sacrificed everything, and I would give everything I've got. Everything. I would give it all back to be a world champion for one night. I don't like this guy. That's not a secret. I wanna beat him up, and I'm gonna beat him up. Again."

I just hope that if Anderson wins he takes his last remaining fights in the lightweight division or a catchweight assuming he doesn't retire.
He has already been there before and dominated against Forrest and the sandman. Bones would be great to see or even rashad against Anderson.
If chael wins then there is munoz, bisping, or a trilogy with anderson.

I'm convinced chael doesn't really have fans. There's noooo way that many people can be dumb enough not to realize steroids makes a difference, let alone the other factors going for him just that night.
No Nemesis. You're just so dumb you can't define the difference in steroids and testosterone being replaced to normal levels in the body. The articles back then were false. I watched Chael's hearing via live feed. And there were no elevated levels of test. They had not tested him at the right times though. And the medical expert in the court room said we will never know what his levels were on the night of the fight. Good job moron. You just remember the first article that came out on the subject. I just remember the truth before they embellished in order to keep him around and make a second fight possible. Anyone with any common sense can look at the way the guy was moving and the energy he was exerting in the fight and be completely unsurprised that something was unnatural, especially comparing that with the same guy BEFORE elevated artificial testosterone, or when they are normal(bisping)
But,cognitive dissonance and a safe environment don't have me hoping for much sense from these people,especially since i don't think you exist.

Chael fans say A.S. barely beat Hendo then turn around & say Chael convincingly beat Bisping. You dudes are blinder than Stevie Wonder wearing two eye patches.

But Silva beat Hendo. All Hendo won was the first round.
Sonnen beat Bisping convincingly to anyone who can actually judge a MMA fight correctly.
The most beautiful part of Chael vs. Silva 1, was when Chael was on top in guard and was punching across Andersons face with one hand, and backfisting with the same hand, during his fist's path back to the starting side. He punched and pimp smacked Silva back and forth like 7 or 8 times before Silva squirmed enough to make it stop. Even if Chael loses this time, I will always have that moment. I wish they'd show it in these previews.

And last time I remembered, an ass whooping involved cuts, gashes and broken bones. Anderson was virtually unscathed. Chael made love to Anderson for four and a half minutes.

Anderson had cuts. They're just harder to see on black guys. And it's no secret that Chael gets cut easily. That doesn't mean anything. Anderson got knocked down at least twice. Pillows don't knock people down do they? Especially guys like Silva who are striking experts? Retards, anyone who has ever gone to MMA practice knows if you get knocked down, you got hit. Unless you just slipped. And those were no slips.

I strongly suspect Chael will get his ass kicked--but I will be pleased to be wrong.
The bottom-line is that Chael not only lost the last AS fight--but lost in a humiliating fashion after dominating the fight for 4-1/2 rounds. What a fool Sonnen was to squander his lead in the last couple of minutes of the fifth round for the championship belt. What a bonehead! He was tired and more susceptible to submissions and leading the fight by a mile, he should have played it safe for the last lap--but noooooo...
