UFC on FOX 4: Shogun vs. Vera Weigh-In Video and Results

Lyoto Machida vs. Ryan Bader serves as the co-main event, while Mike Swick takes on DaMarques Johnson, and Joe Lauzon takes on Jamie Varner.

Shogun has the best chances against jones just that the 1st time they fought they both were throwing some good exchanges but jones won with the 1st blows they were both exhausted and fighting slow before shogun lost but Shogun will win the next time they meet

There were not any real exchanges...Jones was tapping him without even being touched.

ugh...not sure why machida weighed in so light - sick? mishandled weight cut? either way, I hope Bader doesn't get another 'gimme' win over a better fighter like he did with Rampage (IMO). hope Machida isn't hurt
i doubt its cos hes hurt @moots if he was hurt he wud have more trouble cutting the weight like rampage had 4 d bader fight i simply think that 4 this fight machida wants 2 be extremely light on his feet with swift movement in and out avoiding takedowns and landing strikes
Machida looked less muscular than in his fight against Jones - he could be trying to keep light and mobile like you say. But IMO, if he can make 201 so easily than he probably isn't cutting much (if any) weight, and should be fighting at 185!
as you say he looked more muscular against jones so he mustv made changes 2 his trainin 4 dis fight..i know every camp should b different but everything was going well 4 machida in d jones fight until he got taken down and d huge elbow..i tink he is trying a different approach after evaluating what went wrong against jones..i always saw machida as the kind of body type liddell had a little overweight..dis change should help his cardio as well as his mobility making it harder 2 catch him and take him down..jones even sed he was suprised how lyoto jus lay on his back and did not realy threaten him so i think lyoto has realised that he cant fight off his back and is trying his best to stop the fight from going there

i was wondering how come phil davis got knocked of the ladder so much, and bader didnt, or vera for that matter.
MMA_fan I totally agree! I believe him and Vera should be in the exactly opposite spots. The latter got to where he is now because of the steroids and an injury (Thiago Silva) and not because of his fighting record which is insane.
But on the other hand I would rather see Vera get knocked out than Davis - he seems like a nice guy, maybe a bit too "soft" for a mma fighter.
