MMA veterans Cung Lu and Rich Franklin squared off inside the Octagon, in the main event of UFC on Fuel TV 6 in Macau, China.

Franklin was a clear favorite coming to this fight, but Cung Le had plans of his own. Le was stalking Franklin with kicks, waiting for a perfect opportunity to unleash fury on former UFC Middleweight champ.

Rich Franklin tried to hit Cung Le with a low kick, but the former Strikeforce champ has immediately responded with a powerful right hand that landed right on the chin. Franklin spiraled his way down to the canvas, in what was clearly one of the most impressive KO victories in recent memory. The referee stopped the action at 2:17 minutes into Round 1.

Jubilant Le jumped inside the Octagon, as cageside doctors tried to bring Rich Franklin back to life. Le later approached the visibly upset Rich Franklin to make sure he's 'okay'.

Cung Le is now 2-1 inside the Octagon, and 9-2 overall. It is unclear whether the 40-year old fighter will have another fight in the UFC, but one thing is true - Cung Le is an exciting fighter, and definitely a force to be reckoned with.

As for Rich Franklin, 'Ace' has once again failed to show consistency inside the cage. Last time Franklin had two consecutive victories was back in 2008. Since then, it's a win-lose streak for the 38-year old fighter.

The most amazing part of the KO was the timing of that right hook. I am sure even Cung Le was shocked to see what he did.

I think it might be time for Rich to hang it up. He's following the Chuck Liddell path and I hate seeing it happen.

Up there as one of the cleanest punch KOs in MMA history!

Definitely right there besides H-bomb on Bisping and Stout vs. Edwards in recent years

Franklin won't forgive himself for throwing that leg kick with his hands beside his waist.

The interesting thing was that Le waited for the low kick before throwing that right hook. The time of the contact was perfectly synchronized against the movement of Franklin's chin.
