Chad Mendes stands on the edge of a third title fight with Jose Aldo, as he prepares to face surging Irish contender Conor McGregor in the main event of UFC 189. Much has been said about the wrestling attacks and power punching of the two-time title challenger, and also that McGregor has perhaps not faced a legitimate wrestler during his come-up. ‘Money’ brings NCAA level grappling skills to the octagon, as well as knockout power that saw him drop the absent champion Jose Aldo multiple times during their UFC 189 thriller.
Team Alpha Male is on hand to put Mendes through the UFC 189 open workouts, and he is looking sharp and ready even with a short notice camp for McGregor. He even throws a little mimic in there for the fans, imitating McGregor’s wide stance.
Urijah Faber is on hand, and the video is courtesy of MMA Heat and our good friend Karyn Bryant. Stay tuned to LowKickMMA for more awesome UFC 189 pre-fight hype and coverage during this epic fight week!
