UFC 154 brought us an exciting night of fights featuring Georges St-Pierre's successful return to the Octagon after a long layoff. With it came the traditional Fight Night bonuses, and GSP versus Carlos Condit earned the award for Fight of the Night. It was highly deserving of the award as the main event delivered a bloody war in which neither fighter was willing to give up. The two pocketed $70,000 apiece for their efforts.

As far as the other awards, Ivan Menjivar earned the 70K for Submission of the Night, submitting Azamat Gashimov in the first round with a nice armbar. With the win, he has taken four victories out of five fights and is riding a surge of momentum.

Lastly, in what comes as absolutely no surprise, Johny Hendricks earned Knockout of the Night for his dismantling of Martin "The Hitman" Kampmann. Taking only 46 seconds to blast Kampmann into oblivion, Hendricks will now be calling for his title shot. What remains to be seen is if he will actually get it or not. what are your thoughts on the night's event from Montreal?

That KO was absolutely sick. Hendricks has finished Fitch and Kampmann in a combined time of under 1 minute.

I'll admit it was kind of awesome to see Kampmann fly that far from a punch. He hit the ground and slid another four feet or so.

If Diaz comes back Henricks Vs Diaz for the title shot. If not then Hendricks Vs GSP.

If The Champs next fight were against Anderson Silva and he were to beat him in a similar fashion as he beat Carlos Condit, tonight, then my advice to GSP would be to retire. You have nothing else to prove.Job well done, Champ!

As a side note - Anderson Silva was in attendance, tonight, amidst much great (Prime Time 3) hype, yet made no appearance in the ring (post fight). We can only guess as to why. The MW Camp has made (much) public notice of his desire to fight the 170 champ, however, he has failed to state, publicly, at what weight,' title or catch. We can only guess or surmise, as to why the G.O.At.T was less reticent to declare (which) post-facto / post-fight. A less than generous MMA mind might conclude that Anderson simply wants, what he thinks, will be an easy win at a catch-weight (178). However, according to UFC Central, that's not going to happen. GSP won't accept the fight unless it's @ 170. Subsequently and perhaps, it's why Anderson didn't get into the ring, tonight, because he looked at that (performance tonight) and concluded he can't deal with that @ 170,

If I'm wrong, then prove it wrong by Anderson talking a fight with GSP @ 170 or shut up. If not, then give GSP the fight people want or that which has been earned, GSP / Diaz or GSP / Hendricks.

I think it's purely weight cut that stops Silva going down to 170.

Silva first opened the GSP - Silva idea several years ago stating he would go down to 170 to challenge GSP. He probably could have managed that back then but at his age now the weight cut would seriously effect his cardio and strength and as good as he is he sensibly doesn't want to fight GSP at anything other than 100%. It is also probably the same reason GSP doesn't want to go up and fight him.

I actually fell asleep watching the fights last night I was so tired having been up all day in UK and missed Hendrick's KO of Kampmann. Looks like he is the real deal after all, I'd always thought him a scrapper with great power but to catch a pro like Kampmann and Fitch in the way he has means there's alot more to him than that. Luckiliy I woke up during round 3 of Condit GSP so saw some great action.

    Menjivar's arm bar was SICK!!!!

MMA truth you must have missed the interview with Silva before the fight. He clearly stated that win or loose he would not get in the ring to call out GSP stating "thats not my style".
