UFC 153: Jose Aldo says he wants a fast finish against Erik KochPosted on July 30, 2012, 05:36 PM by Anton Gurevich
"Erik’s is a great opponent. I know him since WEC, but I haven’t really taken a good look at him yet. In the future, when we get together, I’ll see what he’s like and then I’ll tell you. For now, I know him as a friend. I talk to him like I talk to everybody. I don’t know. Every time I fight I want to finish it as soon as possible. But we ought to see how he plays and then we set a game plan. Only then I’m going to know what it’s going to be like and what can happen but I haven’t done it yet." - tatame.com
Reigning UFC Featherweight champ, Jose Aldo, will be looking to continue his dominance inside the Octagon, facing Erik Koch on October 13th, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The fight will headline UFC 153, which will also feature the Middleweight blockbuster between Vitor Belfort and Alan Belcher. Aldo is currently 21-1 in his career, undefeated in WEC/UFC.
Erik Koch vs. Jose Aldo was originally scheduled for UFC 149 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, but the Brazilian KO artist was forced to pull out of the fight due to injury. Koch has decided to wait for Aldo, despite not fighting since last year's UFC Fight Night 25 card in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he beat Jonathan Brookins via Unanimous Decision.
