When Anderson gets a chance to finish--his accurate and HARD strikes do the trick.
I actually think Sonnen gassed in the second. It's his own fault for losing too much too fast just before the fight. Dolce diet my ass.
Sonnen took Silva down pretty easily in the 1st, and kept him down and did damage. But Sonnen was gassed in the 2nd and unable to strike with Silva.
I can't say I like either fighter, so the result means nothing to me. I would have liked to see Chael win just for the drama--but Silva's striking is good enough and his chin is tough enough to make up for the holes in his game..

was suprised sonnen took silva down so easy straight away in the 1st, but the look on andersons face throughout the round, he didnt seem phased at all...evan looked like he wanted to take 'sonnens' best for the first giving him over-confidence.
i really thought silva was going to ninja-kick him in the second but it ended as predicted.
really wanted chael to win for the fireworks but the always and true champion won...what a gentleman at the end.
as much as i like chael, i would've liked to have seen sonnen recover from the last 2 years BS and give a long and gratifying speech/apology to silva and brazilians in general...i think he needed to do that in respect of all brazilians and to silvas family
...there's still time for a post-shocker speech but i doubt it'll happen
