TUF 19 Finale Medical Suspension List: Three Fighters Get Six Month Sits

The Ultimate Fighter 19 finals went down this past Sunday (July 6, 2014) and rounded off the UFC’s four-event week with quite an exciting show. The sad highlight of the evening was Frankie Edgar‘s domination of BJ Penn, with the good side being all the great finishes on the card. Although the season of TUF may have been lacklustre, it certainly lived up to the hype on fight night.

Eddie Gordon sealed the deal with a first round finish against Dhiego Lima, Cory Anderson dominated Matt Van Buren, and while most of the card emerged unscathed, there are some significant (potential) lay offs ahead. BJ Penn: Suspended 60 days (45 days no contact) for left eye laceration.
Matt Van Buren: Suspended 180 days for possible orbital fracture pending clearance by ophthalmologist. Minimum suspension 45 days (30 days no contact).
Eddie Gordon: Suspended 180 days for possible shoulder injury pending clearance by doctor.
Dhiego Lima: Suspended 45 days (30 days no contact) for precautionary reasons.
Justin Scoggins: Suspended 30 days (21 days no contact) for precautionary reasons.
Guto Inoncente: Suspended 45 days (30 days no contact) for facial lacerations.
Jesse Ronson: Suspended 30 days (21 days no contact) for precautionary reasons.
Jumabieke Tuerxun: Suspended 30 days (21 days no contact) for precautionary reasons.
Juan Manuel Puig: Suspended 45 days (30 days no contact) for precautionary reasons.
Patrick Walsh: Suspended 30 days (21 days no contact) for scalp laceration.
Keith Berish: Suspended 180 days for possible left knee injury pending clearance by orthopedic doctor.
