Strikeforce Results: Saffiedine, Cormier, Barnett victorious in Oklahoma City

Strikeforce celebrated its farewell event at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, headlined by the Welterweight title collision between Nate Marquardt and Tarec Saffiedine.

Marquardt was coming as a big favorite for this fight, but Saffiedine surprised with a well-calculated performance that saw him dominating the fight in every aspect of Mixed Martial Arts. Saffiedine finishes his Strikeforce run as the Welterweight champion, with sights making a statement inside the UFC Octagon, while Nate Marquardt will have to wait to learn the future direction of his career.

Top 10 Heavyweight star Daniel Cormier had no problems dealing with Dion Staring inside the cage. Staring proved he’s a tough man to beat, but Cormier was dominating every second of the fight, forcing the referee to stop the action via TKO in Round 2.
