Soa Palelei: Either I’m Getting Knocked Out, Or Jared Rosholt’s Getting Knocked Out

On Saturday, Australia’s Soa Palelei has the opportunity to take his fourth straight win in the UFC when he takes on three-time All-American Jared Rosholt in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 43.

If Palelei manages to pull off the win in his homeland it will extend his current winning streak to 12 and push him closer to the top ten of the division. In a recent interview with MMAJunkie.com the 36-year old said he’s prepared himself to go five rounds in the fight but he plans on breaking the rules if things don’t go his way:

“He’s going to be probably weary of me, and I’m going to be weary of him. In saying that, we will go in there and throw down. Jared’s going to try to take me into deep water, but I’ve been swimming.

I’ll try to keep afloat and see what happens. Every fight, I’ve made sure I can go five, six rounds. If the game plan A doesn’t work, I’ll just go to plan B. If plan B doesn’t work, I’ll just poke him in the eyes or hit him in the nuts.”

Rosholt will probably be the stiffest test of “The Hulk’s” UFC career to date. “”The Big Show” is undefeated inside the Octagon after beating Walt Harris by decision in his debut and then topping Daniel Omielanczuk in April.

Palelei knows he is going to have to be on top form when the two meet as things never went to well for him the last time he fought a high-level wrestler.

“The last time I fought a top-level wrestler was Daniel Cormier, and he kicked my ass, so I want to make sure I don’t get my ass kicked on this one.””

It’s pretty safe to assume Palelei will want to keep the fight standing with all eleven of his consecutive wins finishing by way of KO/TKO. Against Rosholt he plans on keeping things the same.

“”If it stays standing, Jared is not going to hit harder than Mark Hunt, so it’s going to be an interesting fight, and it’s going to be an explosive one. Either I’m getting knocked out, or Jared’s getting knocked out.”
