We all want to see the rematch, because Silva was clowning too much. We all want to see it now, but truth is, MMA should be structured to treat all fairly who earn the shot. That being said, I voted #1. He earned it. If he wins, we still get to see the rematch for contender spot. If he loses we see a title fight....but its about the money, so sit back Veeter, cry and wait. Thats business...lame.
I think him and Munoz would be a great fight and since Silva has a rematch...if Mark can beat Belfort then damn..... and if Vitor beats Mark he is no dought the guy.......but if Vitor was giving the fight he deserves it and being one of the last
old schooler out there
I think he's earned it too, he should be the next in line for a fight with the champ.
Hopefully he will be after Silva's re-match with Weidman.
If Dana says "It's not your turn", then it's not your turn. Many, including me, think Vitor earned it, and that fighters should be treated fairly, by contendership by payment, and everything else, but Dana is the boss, maybe with Silva's p4p ranking in question, a lot of fans would rather see Anderson reclaim (or not) his spot as the greatest of all time.
Aki, Dana is the boss and what he says goes without a doubt and Vitor will have to wait and I think most fans are fine with that and look forward to Weidman / Silva II.
Just tell Vitor that it is Jesus' will that he wait, and he will calm down.
That might actually work.
Belfort most definitely earned a shot but Silva is also in a position where he should be granted an immediate rematch. i mean the dude was undefeated(in the ufc) and what, on his 10th title defense?
Holy, I think your analysis is the general sentiment on both a re-match and sitting Belfort down.
Vitor has earned the right to a shot, however Silva takes precedence a) because he has ruled the division for forever and b) because he annihilated Vitor.
Should Vitor train and wait for almost a year for the shot? Or, put his position on the line by staying active? That's the real question.
Blood, that is the new real question. I'd like to see him go back up to 205, fight Machida and wait it out.
He should have voiced his desire for a title shot a lot louder after KO'ing Rockhold. He pretty much said he didn't want the title shot after that fight. Now he's acting like Anderson, wanting the shot. He'll get one, just not soon.
Mam, that's all true and I hope your assessment proves accurate.
DROP THE DAMN SUBJECT. Who care at this point...
