Ufc should pay carwin a decent paycheck, so that he can only train, he's a beast that i want to see atleast 3 times a year in top condition.

(don't know if carwin still has a side job, not to long ago ,he did, which is ridiculous, being the fighter that he is)

    C mon dana !

His "side job" is probably not for the money right now. He is most likely staying with them because he knows he won't be fighting long and UFC doesn't offer a pension. At his age he realistically has only 4 or 5 fights left at most, so unless he gets a couple million each and is guaranteed another 5 fights, it wouldn't make sense for him to quit his "side job".

Well if you don't know if he still has a "side job" you clearly didn't watch the video. He still has his engineering job (don't know if I would call a full time day job a "side job").

At Carwin's age, he could easily be making 6 figures as an engineer. He's fought once in the last nearly 2 years, and he's only been. He made 40k for his fights with JDS and Lesnar. The reality is, his "side job" has probably been more lucrative than his fight career so far, and it doesn't make sense for him to give it up.

He's 37 years old, and not only has he been fighting and wrestling for most of his life, he also played football throughout high school and college. He probably only has a few fights left as ljense mentioned.

    I agree....

With all the injuries you would want to be earning alot more.

Shane is still getting paid ok with sponsorship, bonuses etc. However the cake could be cut more generously for sure...

btw, I don't mean to start a fight, just giving my opinion of why he keeps his job as an engineer.
