Middleweight bout between Rich Franklin and Cung Le will headline the first ever Ultimate Fighting Championship event on Chinese territory. The event will be a part of UFC on Fuel TV series, taking place on November 10th, in Macau, China.

That's according to MMAFighting.com, who quote Dana White's UFC on FOX 4 post-fight press conference comments.

The card will serve as an appetizer for the long-anticipated UFC 154: GSP vs. Condit card, currently scheduled for November 17th. UFC on Fuel TV 6 is also expected to feature a number of debutants from Japan, Korea, China, and other MMA-savvy Asian countries.

Rich Franklin is currently 29-6 in his career, with a decision victory over Wanderlei Silva in his most recent bout. It's not the first time "Ace" flies the flag for the UFC in new markets, Franklin has already headlined UFC 99 in Germany, UFC 115 in Vancouver, Canada, and UFC 93 in Dublin, Ireland.

Cung Le is 8-2, with a "W" against Patrick Cote at last month's UFC 148. The Sanshou specialist is 1-1 inside the Octagon, losing to Wanderlei Silva via TKO, back at UFC 139.

Despite the fact that both fighters are currently on winning ways inside the Octagon, it's pretty clear that this match-up has no title shot implications.

Well the only good thing about this fight is that these 2 will probably manage to get through training without injuring themselves.

Digging this fight... Joe Silva is trying to pave one of these guys a path to Anderson Silva... Even though he was beat down, another fight with Rich Franklin would be very marketable.

More like "wouldn't be very marketable" What's the point of Silva vs Franlin again? to see how many times one fighter can lose too another fighter?

Franklin Silva would be marketable to everyone who wants to watch a highlight finish lol. On the other side, whats everyone's take on Cung vs Silva? Everyone talks about Cung's high level of striking and this and that. I personally feel like Silva would make him look BAD on his feet. probably a 2nd round K.O

I think that Le V Silva would be a great fight. I agree that Silva would get a TKO win but I think that until that happened Le would land a couple of good kicks and maybe some combos and help to make it a very flashy and entertaining fight.

At least 1 person is smart enough to catch sarcasm.

Very cool match up. I see Cung controlling most of the fight however, I think Franklin pulls out a TKO. The reason I think this is likely is that Cung's weakness is his chin and Rich has KO power. That said, If Franklin does not get a TKO, Cung will get a decision.

Would still be thinking franklin would win this fight. People seem to forget how good this guy is. He was the best middleweight ever in the ufc until silva came along. Yes he is getting old and doesn't fight as much but he's still an animal!

I tell people that same thing all the time. people always make it like Silva beat a washup fighter in Franklin and now I don't remember specific but I know he had a VERY good record and he still fights good competition at multiple weight classes. Rich Franklin is a GREAT ambassador of the sport, I'd like to see him get into the UFC after fighting maybe do a feature commentary on FX here and there.
