Rashad Evans Talks Win Over Hendo, Possible Teixeira Fight

Rashad Evans edged Dan Henderson on the judges scorecards following their UFC 161 scrap, this was a big fight for both guys. Henderson was coming off a decision loss to Lyoto Machida, while Evans was riding a two fight skid following losses to Lil Nog and Jon Jones.

Rashad admits that he did some things wrong, and has a lot to work on, but he feels that he did what he had to do to get the win. The win was exactly what Rashad needed, we may have been talking about his retirement if Hendo had finished Suga in the first stanza.

As it turned out, Evans rode out the storm for a decision victory, check out his post fight interview with Ariel Helwani and stay tuned to Lowkikck!

  • I think Glover is a good matchup for Rashad.

Glover is a very good striker with good wrestling, but Rashad will have a speed advantage standing up, and he is an even better wrestler. Glover hits pretty hard, so he could get the stoppage, but I see Rashad winning that one by decision.

  • Dan looked slow and stiff, and Rashad still only just managed to beat him Kind of. I think Glover would crush Rashad.

    • I think you're right. Rashad's best days appear to be behind him. It could be that the training and injuries are taking a bigger toll on his body that he wants to admit or maybe that all the stuff in his personal life have affected him as a fighter negatively. I would be shocked if Rashad could be Glover who by the way has looked steller now in ALL of his fights.

  • we are seeing dans last days. unless he can learn how to move better and stay on his toes. he can go flat footed when he wants to land the bomb. he is relying tooo much on that right hand. and its ashame.
