Rampage Jackson turned down TUF 17 coaching job

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson doesn't appear to be happy with anything lately.
When talking to MMA Fighting, the former UFC light heavyweight champion revealed that he was asked to be a coach on the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter opposite Chael Sonnen. But Rampage decided to turn down the opportunity, thus opening the door for Jon Jones to coach.
"Forget TUF," Jackson said. "I'm not interested in that...I don't want to fight Chael. He's the kind of fighter that I don't want to fight. He's a boring fighter that just wants to hump people."
UFC President Dana White confirmed that Jackson was offered the job and that Sonnen was very interested in coaching against and fighting Jackson. However, the disgruntled Rampage had been openly campaigning for a showdown with Glover Teixeira. Once he found out that Sonnen was out of the Griffin fight, Rampage offered to fight both on the same night.
"I would have done it two for one," he said. "I would have fought Glover first, and I would have fought Forrest for free, basically."
Now, Rampage is left with no opponent and will have to wait on the sidelines until he gets his next offer.

He doesn't want to fight a wrestler with no stand up because he probably knows he doesn't have many fights left and wants exciting fights for the remaining fights 42 fights with 32 wins.... Really? How can you sh@t talk this guy. He has knuckled up on many occasions. Hell he even took a 3rd fight with Wanderlei Silva after being KO 2 times.....grrr you people have no loyalty for the scrappers!

A fight is only as boring or exciting as YOU make it. You don't want fighters taking you down and laying on you? It's YOUR job to not allow them to take you down, and its YOUR job to keep the fight on the feet if thats what YOU want. He always complains about "Boring Wrestlers", but like it or not, grappling is a part of MMA, along with punching and kicking. I agree, wrestling may not be the most exciting thing to watch, but I personally find boxing to be boring as well
So if wrestling is boring and boxing is boring to u y do u watch mma?

Wow dude Rampage is a legend in mma and has earned the right to do whatever the F he wants in the business. No wonder he is leaving UFC. It's cause of unappreciative a$$holes like u who expect him to just STFU and fight when he's already paid his dues in the business. Thats funny cause he wanted the Texiera fight until he found out that he was on medical suspension for 6 months. And he has been askin for the Forrest rematch for awhile now but that's just cause he wants easy fights. Right!

Hes right about Chael humping people, and I doubt striker really enjoys fighting those types of fighters even though its part of the game, especially the american mma game...

Rampage turned it down? Good! Using the words "coach" and "Rampage" together are laughable anyway. He sucked the first time as a "coach" because he is a selfish baby and is completely one dimensional as a fighter. He has absolutely nothing to offer any up and coming young TUF fighter and only thinks about himself.
