Former UFC Light Heavyweight champion, Quinton Jackson, reacted to the news of Glover Teixeira's medical suspension with another request for a rematch with Forrest Griffin. Jackson criticized UFC match-making, and directly targeted Joe Silva as the man to blame for not putting the Forrest Griffin fight together. Rampage also stated that he's not retiring, but would like to continue his career outside the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

It just might happen. Definitely a more marketable matchup than Forrest vs. Davis.

I don't want to fight Gover. Give me someone I can beat despite my lack of motivation.

I love all the "Weaks" here, when everyone knows it is completely true and accurate.

Even with motivation he was beat by Forrest.

But your right, Forrest is a much more winnable fight

Well he didn't actually lose that fight, go back and watch it again and you will be shocked at how Forrest could win that.

    Forrest did win.

I was at the event, and I scored it for Rampage. After re-watching it again I scored it for Griffin. The third round is the key for scoring it. Rampage lands a few good blows, but gets out pointed.

He didn't even mention that until Bas told him it would be 6 months.

He's just not as motivated as he used to be back in the day, sometimes seems like he doesn't realize himself that he's kind of losing it and maybe it is time to move on.

I've been a big fan so whoever he fights I still hope for the old-school aggressive Rampage to come out.

Gotta agree with Rampage on what he said about Joe Silva, seems like at times Dana is the matchmaker,in the end Joe is Dana's dog! ;D

Wow this makes me want to click on the link, leave my beloved MMA website and go look at some spam. What an effective marketing strategy. No one will be annoyed that this spam is interrupting a good MMA discussion. I'll be they get rich off of this one.

How is he a good matchmaker, because they say it every time before the weigh ins? This is the guy that gave us Jones vs Vitor and Silva vs Boner so lets get ****ing real.

Come on, 6 months is a long time at rampages age. I agree he's not motivated and Forrest is an easier fight but another 6 month layoff is aaaaages. And even then there might be an injury. At his age he has to fight when he can.

Rampage looks like he is already in good enough shape to go with Glover.

Finally figured out that Glover will completely destroy him. Rampage is a little slow, you know.

Its so weird to go from somebody who has followed a fighters career for so long, hoping they get to the big level, being excited to see how he fares against top competition, to being cynical about his place in the public eye.

Teixeira is extremely talented, and could give a lot of fighters fits. However, his best win is a toss-up between Fabio Maldonado, Kyle Kingsbury, and Sokoudjou 6 years ago. This thought process that Rampage is afraid of him, or even worse, that he is a top 5 fighter shows the short sighted nature of MMA fans (and some media members).

It's not that, it's just we're tired of Rampage asking for a stand up fight (he hates wrestlers) and then when he gets a great one he doesn't want it.

The thing is he doesn't have it. He'd have to wait a possible 6 months or more (depending on when Glover is cleared) to take that fight. It's not like it was made then he went back on it.

Him not wanting to wait around for that long at the age of 34 makes sense, and the thought of it being because he's scared at all doesn't.

So funny that people just hear what they want to hear. Rampage sat down in this interview thinking he was fighting Glover, doesn't want to wait 6 months so calls out forrest for the 100th time since he has wanted to fight him for years. And somehow this turns into Rampage backing down, Rampage could fight Forrest and still be ready to fight Glover in 6 months.

Rampage and Glover would have been a great fight, but I would bet a million bucks as soon as Rampage landed Glover he'd go for the take down. No one goes toe to toe with Rampage, they always gotta take him down or leg kick him a thousand times to win.
