ONE FC 19 Results And Replays: Huerta, Askren & Aoki Finish In The First

ONE FC 19 went down today (Friday August 29, 2014) at the World Trade Centre in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and put on the promotion’s biggest show to date. Arguably the best showing in ONE FC’s history, and presented yet another great representation of Asian MMA. Lightweight champion Shinya Aoki scored a trademark submission win over UFC veteran Kamal Shalorous in the main event, further cementing his reputation as the best MMA fighter currently in the East.

Former Bellator welterweight champion Ben Askren continued his unbeaten streak, and with a first round TKO at that. “Funky” scored an early take down, and dropped knees to the head and punches for 84 seconds, scoring a TKO win. Askren snatches the title Nobutatsu Suzuki in the process. I do miss Pride rules. Featherweight champion Jadamba Narantungalag defended his belt with a decision win over Koji Oishi.

The much-anticipated return of UFC and Bellator veteran Roger Huerta was short and brutal. “El Matador” smashed Christian Holley in round one, with some savage knees to the head and body whilst on the ground. Fellow UFC veteran James McSweeney knocked out Cristiano Kaminishi with some hard soccer kicks to the nugget. Check out the GIFs of the biggest finishes, by Zombie Prophet, as well as all the fight results.
