Newly motivated, Rampage wants Glover Teixeira fight next

After being forced to withdraw from his scheduled UFC 153 bout with surging prospect Glover Teixeira, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson has taken to Twitter to reiterate his desire to face Teixeira. Rampage was replaced by Fabio Maldonado on the epic card, who showed great heart but was ultimately destroyed by the skills of Texeira. After his victory, Teixeira stated he stills wants the fight, but only if Rampage shows up motivated and in shape, something he has not done as of recent. Rampage and Dana White both appear to be on board to make this fight happen:

This fight could be absolutely great, but only if the Rampage of old somehow reappears. I would have to think that at this point in time, the stock of Teixeira is rising rapidly making him quite an overwhelming favorite over Rampage, who showed up overweight and slow for his bout with Ryan Bader at UFC 144. He has been noted recently as saying he has found a newfound love for fighting, so this could possibly help his cause. Still, he would be faced with an uphill battle in the highly-motivated Teixeira. What do you think will happen if Dana White schedules this fight in the near future?

I'd be a happy man if the old, people slamming rampage who throws "bungalows" shows up; but I don't think anybody knows where that Rampage is hiding...

Still in a limo in Japan with 10 barely-clothed Japanese chicks, a gallon bag of Northern Lights, and speakers blaring '90s rap. No one had the balls to tap on the window and let him know his plane was about to board.

I wish Teixeira would win. And this would be interesting to see Teixeira with elite level.

Rampage has clearly seen something in Glovers game he likes the look of.

If I was anyone i'd rather fight glover now as I can only see him getting better. So long as he doesn't have a suspect chin that is...

Glover is not gonna beat Rampage... period!

He can take anything Glover will throw at him

and put them paws on Glov'.. and put him to sleep.

That's the only possible outcome for this bout.

Glover can't take Rampage down and i promise u

he does not want to stand with Rampage.

Rampage in his heyday might have out Glover to sleep, but the last time Rampage KO'd anybody was in 2008. I hope 'Page brings it, but I'm really not that optimistic.

So tell me who tried to "fight" rampage after he knocked out wandy??? That's RIGHT nobody but Lyoto (somewhat) the rest tried to hump him to death... it's hard to knock someone out if all you're doing for 15 min is sprawling.....

The fight that was SUPPOSED to happen in the first place! Yes! Rampage saw that left hook Maldonado landed and liked his odds a little better. This is gonna be a sick fight

Hes starting to remind me of Penn although Im a huge fan of both I can't help but wonder what version will show up?Its like when Tyson started to fall off Rampage could turn this around but he needs to take his oponents more seriously and train harder then ever before it seems far fetched but completley possible hes still relevant.

Rampage only knocks people out when they stand in front of him like Wanderlei did. Other much less dangerous fighters have shown how to beat him. Since Glover wouldnt even stand up with Fabio after giving him so much punishment the guy could barely stand I dont see him standing with Rampage. Look for a dull ground and pound fight here.

    Cry-baby Rampage still has fans?

Set it up White, so we can see Glover dismantle Rampage and send him into retirement bloody and beaten down, just like he deserves.......

That's if he actually shows up, makes weight, etc. etc...

Rampage has needed a fighter he can stand and bang with. He covers up better than Glover and has tighter technical boxing. However, Rampage will need heart because "when you get hit properly iyou need the heart developed from fighting past exhaustion in camp.
