Diaz revealed he thought Frankie Edgar did enough to re-claim his title, but still stated that he's happ to square off against Ben Henderson. Speaking about his opponent, Diaz declared he's more interested in fighting the best, rather than getting a piece of jewelry around his waist:
"I train with guys just like that, strong guys, athletic guys, that are good. It's definitely gonna be a good, hard fight. Now it's time to fight for a title and I'm gonna do what I could to win that belt for my team. F--- the belt. I'm trying to beat the number one guy in the world and that's him right now." - MMA.tv

The Diaz brothers come out to fight which I like about them. I think Benson has the edge coming into this fight.
Benson is too smart to fall throw out his gameplan cuz of the Diaz agrression, like Donald did. I think diaz cud still win but hes gotta keep the pressure on him or benson will devastate him with thoose kicks
Why would Nate Diaz want to flub the belt?
Diaz is putting Benson to sleep. No two ways about it.

If kicks are part of Henderson's gameplan like they were a part of Cerrone's he will have his face blasted all over the cage. You don't stand with a Diaz brother unless you have the skill (and patience) to fight like Condit fought Nick. Henderson does not have the game to do that.
His way of winning is through the ground, which IMO will see a large portion of their title fight.
Benson will go right thru Daiz the style is some what bad for Daiz for one daiz leads with his leg out and his head to try and bait but Benson will leg kick the shit out of him and plus the pace he goes Daiz is more of a counter guy.. for some reason I just cant picture Daiz winning but he is a great fight and has been wanting the belt forever regaurdless what he says the belt is a big deal

On a serious note I love the fighter Nate has become - reached his brother's elite level among the best fighters in the world, while being extremely classy and respectful outside of the cage... Nate has matured so much in the last couple of years.
Really cool to see he has a good business head on him as well and is getting pretty damn media savvy... basically the opposite of Nick.

Interesting...Diaz has stated many times that he has considered Gilbert Melendez the #1 lightweight in the world...and everybody knows those two will never fight.
I have to conclude that it's all about the belt.
