Junior dos Santos: It's hard to take Overeem's recent results seriously

In a recent interview via Sherdog.com, UFC Heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos speaks on the buildup to his rematch with Cain Velasquez at this month's UFC 155. Dos Santos has praise for his opponent, and states he is looking for Velasquez to go for the takedown early on in the fight. JDS is feeling in good physical health after having minor knee surgery after the first UFC on Fox last year. He moved on to discuss Alistair Overeem, stating that he is a very good fighter, but that no one wants a champion like that. Dos Santos says it is tough to take Overeem's recent good results seriously, because he failed the drug test. Dos Santos appears to be calm and collected heading into his huge year-ending bout, where another finish of Cain Velasquez could leave Overeem as the only man with any chance to dethrone the Heavyweight champ.

jds will finish the reem in the 1st. he has waaaaay better hands. and pls leave me alone with this k1 champ bs. he never faced schilt and badr hari would have ko'd him (again) if he would have perticipated. he has good knees but won't be able to get jds in a muay thai clinch. really...how did he beat? brock lesnar? fabricio werdum? (whos boxing was BETTER in that fight)? ok...vitor belfort. but thats it. he lost to pretty much every real big name he faught.

if reem and junior will fight, junior should bring a pillow with him. because for sure he will be needing it.

Overeem has beaten a lot better strikers than JDS. He is 1-1 against Badr Hari. Against JDS Alistair will cover up, roll with punches and pick his shots. He will land harder and more often than anyone JDS has faced and very likely get a KO victory.
