Josh Koscheck hopes AKA burns to the ground, admits he is a total d***
Posted on August 1, 2012, 01:40 PM by Mike DrahotaIn one of the more candid MMA interviews we have seen recently, perennial heel and former AKA standout Josh Koscheck speaks to his friend and former teammate Jon Fitch about his departure from the gym. Koscheck feels slighted by AKA head trainer Javier Mendez, whom he feels only wanted to gain the fame and fortune associated with the fights Koscheck and Fitch were involved in with the UFC. It can be argued that Koscheck and AKA brought one another fame, but obviously the former disagrees. He expressed his strong feelings, thanks to FightHubTV.com:
"I can say truly, Fitch, I've been the same from day one. Total d***. From day one. I say what I feel, and if you don't like it, tough s***. I hope the gym burns to the ground (laughing). Is that bad? I hope no one's in it, well maybe one person. But if it burns down, I'm cool, we'll be good."
Some truly malicious statements, even for Koscheck. Some would argue that Koscheck's resume as a fighter does not warrant such an outspoken outburst. What do you think? Is the whole Koscheck vs. AKA fiasco becoming overblown? Is Josh Koscheck a fighter becoming known most for his fighting skills or his trash talking? Does MMA need characters of this sort, or could it do without them as it progresses into the mainstream?

I think Kos is alright in this video . He is just saying his feeling toward AKA. But his friendship with Fitch seems to remain. This shows that Kos is loyal.
I think when he is not in front of the camera , he is a nice guy.

Very hard to agree with this guy but in this case: Spot on Josh!!
I have to agree, Josh is definitely right that he did a lot of the gym in term of recognition for it in the early years - he has been a UFC household name for 8 years and is one of the reasons AKA is so well known.
AKA must be very disappointed about his leaving(dripping sarcasm)
Well he does make hundreds of thousands which means bank for them. Plus lots of recognition to their gym.
So yes, they are very disappointed. (dripping logic)
To have a person who has a cancerous personality among the talent that AKA has, I think they know they are better off without him (dripping reality)
AKA dosnt exactly have a clean history, when BJ fought under them, they brought in Sherk, and told BJ this is our guy, forcing BJ to leave.

Man, I have though he was a total d**k ever since he was on the UF show. He just acted like an idiot the entire time, a childish one at that. He can fight, though. I wish he would do something about the Orphan Annie hairdo, even though it is blonde. Don't like him, don't think I ever will.
