In an interview from the Reign Training Center courtesy of MMAInterviews.tv, UFC Welterweight Jake Ellenberger chronicles his struggles after losing a pivotal bout against Martin Kampmann at The Ultimate Fighter: Live Finale. Ellenberger says he does want to make any excuses, but did go into that bout at only 70% of his full health after a drastic weight cut. Stating that he is looking for a top-ten opponent, Ellenberger is hungry to get back on track towards the title. He suggests facing Johnny Hendricks or Jon Fitch in his next bout. Visibly shaken by the loss, Ellenberger admits he can no longer sleep at night. He is currently helping Mark Munoz train for his fight with Chris Weidman this August. Will we see Jake Ellenberger back near the top of the UFC Welterweight division soon?

Jake is still only 27, he's in the prime of his life, he's constantly improving and lets not forget he hurt kampmann quite badly in the first round. He just needs to take a step back, fine tune a few things and he'll be right back in the title frame, a fight against siyar bahadurzada would be intriguing.
