After attaining a 6-4 record in the promotion that he has called home since UFC 106 in 2009, Jacob Volkmann has been cut from the organization after a loss to debuting former Strikeforce fighter Bobby Green.

According to MMA Fighting however, Volkmann has apparently signed a multi-fight deal with World Series of Fighting. Volkmann is expected to make his WSOF debut sometime in June for what will be its third event.

The next WSOF event will be headlined by Anthony Johnson vs. Andrei Arlovski at heavyweight and is set for March 23 in Atlantic City, N.J.
