This could be one hell of a coming out party.

As much as I like Boetsch, I love sport talent even more and if Hector can deliver in the the UFC like he did in Bellator then god damn!

Is it common for the fighter to be calling out what combos he wants to throw?

I always told my pad holder the numbers i use, for certain sequences. 1-jab, 2 jab-cross, 3 jab cross hook, and so on. Then i let them call out the numbers however they wanted to. That is what I have been taught by most of my trainers. When getting more in depth I would use the names of the techniques like they are doing in this video.

The pad holder looks like an amateur that is confused because Hector is south-paw. The pad holder is standing in orthodox which confuses things further.

Just watched the interview scrum, along with many others I do feel Hector is a bit arrogant at times but he keeps avoiding questions about Silva and future fights, maintaining his focus on Boetsch and giving him respect in the process.

In my books true respect is more important than being very polite.

Pretty cool him autographing for the kid when he is being wanted by the media, putting the fans first.

Experiences with media? Are you trolling us? He is so awkward, to talk to it seems. I understand the focus part, but he answers questions basically with a yes, no, or I dont want to talk about that.

Experienced enough to not give it too much importance. What's important in the end is the performance itself. Why play along if one doesn't want to?

Strongly agree. He's experienced enough not to completely lose his control with their ignorance(constantly using the word "hype"), and not to start some kind of,for lack of a better term, "flame war" by saying that he could would or should beat guys that he's not even slated to fight

Wow. Cuban-Australian... What a random mix and an even stranger accent.

Interested to see his debut. Although to be honest he looks like he's packing waaay too much muscle for a Middleweight and for MMA in general. He's thicker than Marquardt @ 185lbs, yet shorter.

He'd probably benefit cardio wise by leaning out and dropping to Welterweight.

He was slated to fight at 170 in his intitial foray into the UFC Bryan. He decided to keep and add more muscle to stay at 185. I doubt he'll drop down.

Gotta love him for his knock out prowess but he seems like a total choad in this interview.

Why be moody with Karen Bryant?

Add to that the stories of him being a total douche at CSW and the conclusion points to choad!

I watched like 45 seconds of the interview and the guy just seems like a total di.ck, i mean i know diaz can be hard to watch in interviews, but this guy is walking around like he has already KO'ed silva, I am not saying don't be yourself, but he is exposing himself to a whole new level of stardom, people who only watch UFC will never have heard of him and dismiss his previous accolades, I thought he would be a little friendlier. However he could prove me wrong by knocking seven shades of sh.it out of Boetsh, but I am gonna be rooting for Boetsh to humble this guy

hahahah, nah nothing to do with race. I just hate bullies, and everything I read about him suggests he is a bully, and yeh i know your not supposed to believe everything you read, but where theres smoke theres fire. I know its a contact sport and you can bully people in real fight, but when its training partners, and newbies to mma, i just really wanna see him face down on the canvas.

"How important is your Cuban heritage in terms of what you bring to the octagon?"

"I start my career...I start fighting in Australia, and I believe that I will dedicate all my winnings in MMA...to Australia."

"How important is your skin color in terms of what you bring to journalism"?

"It's how i got my job sir!"

And people are surprised to see he doesn't care for the media.

If you show pride in your skin color, you are a racist asshole.

If you show pride in your nationality, you are just patriotic.

A lot of fighters talk about representing their countries during a "1 on 1 cage fight", but I can't remember anyone talking about representing their skin color...probably because they don't want to look like a racist asshole.

I think that's pretty easy to understand, so I'm not sure where the crying and eye rolling is coming from.

Ryan ,anyone who is tough enough to get a 5 round UD against Alexander Shlemenko is more than capable of dealing with a lot of the MW's in the UFC. .

Hectors knockout power is not in doubt and I think everyone he has fought trained ,made weight and went in there to win so to have a record like his is an achievement in itself.
