When was the last time Henderson 'killed' anyone you idiot he hasn't knocked anyone out since WEC. Get a clue you moron. Benson thinks he will survive at 170 when he can't even knock a lightweight out. It's just a matter of time before Henderson gets gassed in a fight and loses a decision.

Ya definitely I think ben Henderson will get beat up soon if not by Melendez or Pettis then by Jose Aldo when he moves up later this year.. That cocky illuminati bastards time will come!

He don't deserve a immediate title fight but a top guy for sure like Pettis.

Gilbert Melendez hype is starting to fade
and to be honest im glad because i hate overhype on any fighter
i am not saying he is not good, but talks about him getting a title fight
in his first UFC fight is dumb, specially since is the most stacked division
and Gilbert is yet to prove he is Top 5 LW

To be honest i think Chandler and Alvarez are above Gilbert and Josh Thomson gave him a run for his money.
Plus of Course the Top 5 on the UFC , Henderson,Edgar,Pettis,Cerrone, Maynard

let him work his way up a fight with Miller,Guillard,Lauzon ,Varner would be nice.

I think Dana knows Gil won't get by any really stiff top 5 competition and wants to make this fight soon. It's a massive risk, and if he turned in a bad performance in a contender match it would be a disaster. To be fair, the LW pecking order isn't exactly set at the moment so now isn't a bad time for him to have a shot at Hendo. Even if he doesn't deserve it yet.

Ben Henderson would destroy him just like he did with nate .. no chance so dont even go there man let him fight some other guys like , Miller , Cerrone , Pettis he wont even win from these guys let alone the champ , Ben Henderson wil be king for a long time guy is just a BEAST !

Henderson doesn't destroy anyone. He could of beat an injured Nate for 5 more rounds and still not of knocked him out. Benson lost both fights to little Franky in my opinion and yes I agree he is a solid fighter he is not champion material just like gray maynard. Nate will be back and so will Franky. Benson's days are numbered.

I'm sure he would but he also would like the win.... both things doubtful.

Nice guy but think he struggles against many of the top UFC LWs.

How about give him Jim Miller, he looked brilliant the other night. Might not want to be good idea if your planning for Gil to get that title shot though

Unfortunately I think Gilbert's hype is the same as Shields and look where he is. We don't hear of him anymore and he is in the UFC.
