Former UFC Lightweight champion, Frankie "The Answer" Edgar, will have his third consecutive rematch as UFC champion/title contender, this time facing Ben Henderson in Denver, Colorado. Edgar and Henderson first met back at UFC 144 in Japan, with Henderson winning the decision. On August 11th, Edgar will be looking to bring the belt back to New Jersey.

Here's what Frankie Edgar had to say about his camp:

"He's so well rounded (Ben Henderson), he's a big guy and kicks really well. I think I need to make sure I'm capitalizing on catching his kicks. Evan Dunham is up here, Dustin Poirier, Edson Barboza, Josh Thomson... some phenomenal training partners this camp. The fact that I was the champion and it was taken from me is definitely more motivating. I will try to use this in the gym, and have a good camp."

I think Ben Henderson wil defend his belt.

    Edgar is an amazing fighter..

But Ben's legs are too BIG and Powerful for the smaller Frankie...

last time he did a great job catching the kicks he just did not capitalize once he did so. There are so many effective muay thai techniques he shud use next time

I agree...also, a question that is on my mind. Those new rules for the judges, and points mentioned a couple weeks ago, I believe one had significant strikes and / or damage being pointed considerably higher than light quick "point scoring" hits, on the score card....is that going to be in play for this fight ? when do those take effect ? cuz if so...frankies game is even less likely to succeed , winning the match just by hitting hendo with a few more strikes that are rabbit punches vs. hendo committing. when does that new scoring system start ?

Frankie commits plenty. Watch the 2nd and 3rd fights with Gray Maynard. He was snapping Maynards head back with quite a few rights.

here...heavier strikes given more weight than number landed...that would have separated frankie and bendo even more the first fight...frankie is gonna need a whole new game if thats the case

Yeah if that was the case in the 1rst fight it would have been scored alot heavier toward Bendo, the whole fight I was watching saying how much Bendo was winning. when you see close fights where both guys are landing those fast shots but nothing to powerful you question who's winning. when I see someone gettin BEAT up and someone getting pitterpatter punched I always see it the way of the damage, I can't believe it took this long for those rules to be made

I've got Frankie winning this. I think he will be more improved and will edge of Ben. I could be wrong but I have a feeling on this.
