Despite getting his hand raised after 25 minutes of action, Maynard made his feelings known about Guida's tactics during the fight. The pair had a heated argument backstage (towards the end of the video), with Clay Guida defending his performance inside the Octagon.

You might not like it but when fighting a bigger, stronger opponent, the strategy Guida employed last night is the way to go. He used superior footwork to land more punches. I don't care what the computer models said, Guida outlanded Gray 3 to 1 all night. I gave Guida rounds 1,3,4 with rounds 2 and 5 going either way. The way I saw it he didn't win by a huge margin but he clearly won.

Its Ironic to see Maynard bitching about Clay not showing up to fight, how many guys have you lay and prayed Gray? Nate Diaz is saying dont be mad homie!
Funny how all the talk of up coming fights are not including Nate. I have a feeling Gray doesnt want anything to do with Nate now, as well as every other fighter in LW.
Did you see Maynard's last two fight? both of the fight of the nights and near complete brawls, he might have had a horrible record of lay and pray before, but hes come a long way
Yes I did see his last 2 fights in fact all his fights, it dosnt change the fact that he layed and prayed his way into title contention, hence why i pointed out the irony thats all.
Finally a ref that actually steps in and does something about this new strat that Silva started doing, run away and somehow get the win anyway.
Lost a lot of respect for Guida, also rather amusing that he says "I don't bitch about anything" and then continues to bitch for the duration of the video.
Silva toyed, the rest ran. you don't get that many finishes running away.
Guida did bob his head like crazy and made some funny faces. Wish he would have committed to more of his punches though. Maybe he would have got the win if he did that. It looked like he drank about a 12 pack of Mountain Dew before he got in the cage too haha.
Little known fact; Clay Guida bleeds Red Bull.
'Why do you have long hair? We're fighters.' What stupid ****ing comment by Maynard. Fight was shit who cares who won. I think Guida although getting better as a fighter since joining Jacksons has also become less entertaining.
