UFC President Dana White spoke post-fight at UFC on Fuel TV 4, praising Chris Weidman for his performance against Mark Munoz. White admitted that Weidman is currently in the mix for a shot at the UFC Middleweight title, especially after looking like "one of the best in the world" against Mark Munoz. White also blasted Josh Rosenthal for not saving Mark Munoz from unnecessary damage.

Josh Rosenthal was on Sirius XM Radio with Mike Straka, where he spoke about his decision-making process during Chris Weidman's onslaught:

"I came home and watched it…if i was sitting here watching on the couch i would have been talking smack about myself. I gave him the benefit of the doubt. In hindsight I let a few more punches in there that I should have. You want to give these guys every chance…I did want to give them the best possible…I may have been slow on the trigger." - More on VendettaFighter.com

I think just about everyone in the MMA community was.

The outcome wasn't exactly and upset but the way he achieved it was extremely unexpected.

I don't hate on Josh for the stoppage at all. It was a little late, but it's better to be a little late than a little early (especially in a fight that's still in the first couple rounds and a lot of shots haven't been landed yet).

Josh is pretty experienced ref. But Munoz ate about 16 shots to the head after hitting the canvas and he wasn't intelligently defending himself. Thats a long time for a ref to give a fighter a chance to recover.

Had Munoz recovered and composed himself Josh would have been considered the best referee. Unfortuanetly he couldn't recover.

I if you look at the Pat Barry vs Check Congo fight....Noone wants to see a fight stopped early.

Weidman is young, strong, hungry, and on fire. Title shot right away please, and we could very well see the downfall of Silva.

No-one in the MW division has a better chance, not even Lombard.
