Dan Henderson says Chael Sonnen was not in his training camp for Jon Jones
Posted on August 28, 2012, 10:15 AM by Mike DrahotaDan Henderson speaks to the MMA Hour to discuss many of the topics surrounding all the UFC 151 hoopla. He said his knee felt like it was just dangling there after he injured it. Obviously Henderson expresses the point of view that he would not pass up the fight like Jon Jones did. When questioned about how early he knew of his injury, Hendo responded:
"I was very optimistic, I was told the MCL heals real fast. I had just under a month before the fight. Yeah, I was pretty optimistic it would get better. I could do even my cross-training, I could move around on my feet."
Henderson is a true warrior of MMA, but has undergone some flack for not revealing his injury sooner. He said that he still did not really wish he had told the UFC sooner. He was also sure to state that Chael Sonnen was not in his training camp, something that Jones's camp had thought was true. Overall, a good interview that clears up some of the floating details of the whole situation.

Am i the only one who has a hard time listening to Hendo?
I kinda have to slow down my brain to follow what he is saying...
He kinda sounds like Chris from family guy.
yea, sounds like he is on the couch with 2/3 of a 12 pack pounded down.
Little by little, we will know all the details true or not, but honestly I am geting a headache for all that.
Thats because its been a week of speculation. Its always good to hear from all sides. If Dan says Chael didnt know and Chael said he didnt know, I have to take that for face value since I've never seen Dan lie or ever get caught lying. People who hate Dana and love Jones tried to jump all over that, once again they walk funny with their feet in their mouths.
As far as Dan speaking slowly and taking pause between answers, I think I'de take my time answering also and try to keep bias out and facts in. If not, he knows the sharks will pounce anything they can construe differently.
Honestly, I can't accept it as "Chael didn't know". It's far too much of a coincidence that he started trash talking Jones the exact time the injury happened.
It says a lot that Sonnens trash talking caused so much debate that even Dana had to address it days before the fight was canceled.
I think you would have to be very foolish to believe in a "happy coincidence" that led a fellow camp member in to a potential title fight...
i have trouble breathing due to the way he breaths when i hear hendo lol
I dont know why, but your reply reminded me of Richard Pryor's comedy skit, where he said he got soo high he forgot how to breath haha
Ever since Randy said he gave the slight advantage to dan in this one I knew shit was gonna go down. That man's word is cursed, I have nothing else then respect for him as a fighter but when it comes to predictions hes the devil.
I think Randy is a huge gambler and does that to help his odds in betting by picking the other guy.
who cares what hes got to day now the **** up has been done its ova an ur career is prob ova now too little too late put ur career to bed ur done enough u were the man its now jjs time in the spotlight
