Don’t hold your breathe on a UFC women’s featherweight title fight between Cris Cyborg and Holly Holm anytime soon.

The bout was being proposed for the UFC 219 pay-per-view (PPV) event in Las Vegas, Nevada on Dec. 30th, and negotiations for the fight were well underway. Now it seems that those negotiations are “dead” according to Holm’s manager, Lenny Fresquez. Fresquez claims that the sides were unable to come to an agreement on finances in negotiations (quotes via MMA Fighting):

“Holly was anxiously awaiting the Dec. 30 fight with Cyborg,” Fresquez said, “and had been training for it. But we could not come to financial terms for this featherweight title bout in December. We look forward to meeting her under the right circumstances.”

MMA Fighting reports that it’s hopeful that Cyborg will remain on the card with a new opponent. She won the title back in July when she defeated Invicta FC bantamweight champion Tonya Evinger at UFC 214. Holm comes off of a big win of her own as she knocked out Bethe Correia via devastating head-kick in June to snap a three-fight losing streak.

Holm and Justino have been going back-and-forth win one another on social media and have really been hyping up a meeting between themselves. Fans have wanted to see the pair collide for some time now, but it seems as though they’ll have to wait just a bit longer.
