Chris Weidman's home unfortunately destroyed by Hurricane SandyPosted on October 30, 2012, 04:27 PM by Mike Drahota
With the unfortunate natural disaster of Hurricane Sandy ravaging the East Coast, news comes that it has had its affect on the world of MMA as well. UFC Middleweight contender Chris Weidman, a native of New York state, has apparently lost his home in the devastating storm. This comes according to UFC Light Heavyweight Ryan Bader, who Tweeted the following:
Bader is calling for support for a friend in Weidman, who has been training recently for his upcoming bout with Tim Boetsch at the stacked UFC 155 this December. Weidman has been actively campaigning for a shot at titleholder Anderson Silva since his systematic destruction of Mark Munoz this summer, even going so far as to state the champion has been ducking him. Now, he appears to have some more pressing issues other than fighting on his hands. Thoughts and support go to Weidman and all the families affected by the powerful storm.
