After a dramatic announcement of Anderson Silva vs. Stephan Bonnar at UFC 153, Chael Sonnen tries to find his way back to the sunny beaches of Rio with a currently-rumored scrap with Wanderlei Silva.

Speaking in an interview with Portal do Vale Tudo, "The Axe Murderer" hinted that he could be fighting at UFC 153, naming Chael Sonnen as an opponent that "everyone wants to see him fight". The fight between Sonnen and Silva could take place at a catchweight of 195lbs.

Silva is no stranger to danger when it comes to catchweight bouts. Back in June, former PRIDE champion rematched Rich Franklin at UFC 147, losing the fight via Unanimous Decision. In fact, both of Wanderlei Silva's encounters with Mathematics teacher from Ohio took place at 195lbs catchweight, having the same outcome - a loss on judges' scorecards.

As for Sonnen, the Oregonian is currently on his way to Light Heavyweight, where he has a scheduled fight with Forrest Griffin at UFC 155. Regardless of his contractual obligations, Sonnen got close to fighting Jon Jones at UFC 151, and is most likely to offer his services for UFC 153.

Could Wandy stop Chaels takedowns? Would be a tough obstacle to over come.... I sure as hell know that Wandy is more than capable of subbing Chael though if he did. Hope this fight happens.

It would be great if the fight happens, but we all know it's almost impossible, since Maldonado, Big Nog ,Bonnar and Silva steped in, well hope is the last to die.

If Wandy can stop Chael's TDs, he can definitely TKO that S.O.B

Very interesting fight. Chael is one guy that has no problem NOT standing toe to toe with Wandy. Looking at Wandy's opponents it's like a who's who of guys who like to stand and exchange. His last opponent that actually looked to take him down was Ricardo Arona back in 2005. I like Chael's chances at winning a decision.

One thing for sure. Chael isn't going to be dominated by Wanderlei.
