Chael Sonnen: If Rampage Jackson wants to fight, I accept

Two-time UFC Middleweight title challenger, Chael Sonnen, continued his verbal scuffle with Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. This time Sonnen accepted Jackson's challenge, stating that he would be more than happy to test his skills against the former UFC Light Heavyweight champ. Here's what Chael Sonnen had to say on Spike TV's MMA Uncensored Live:

"If stupidity was a disease that was treatable by medicine, 'Rampage' would be the ifrst one in line at the pharmacy, every morning. If 'Rampage' wants to fight with me, let's fight! But, the reality is, he's on a two-fight losing streak, he can't make weight, nobody cares about him, he doesn't keep his word, and he's out of the company in a matter of months. If he wants to fight, I accept." - via MMA.tv

While Jackson never directly challenged Chael Sonnen for a fight, there's no doubt that such intriguing trash-talking match-up has every required attribute to become a PPV blockbuster.

Sonnen stated on numerous occasions that he may be interested in moving up to Light Heavyweight, with sights on challenging Jon Jones (or Dan Henderson) for his title. However, if Henderson is victorious against Jones in September, it is very unlikely that Sonnen will step inside the Octagon to face his mentor, despite the fact that the Oregonian not once criticized teammates for not fighting each other.

Chael Sonnen aside, Quinton Jackson is currently scheduled to face Glover Teixeira in the co-main event of UFC 153 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This will be Jackson's last fight on his current contract with the UFC.

The two of them coaching opposite each other on TUF would be awesome. Ramapge's team would no doubt get owned once again and we'd be treated to the sight of Chael taunting Rampage while 'Page breaks a bunch of doors at the TUF gym.

....? If failure was a disease treatable by medicine he'd be trying to get his money back.

Only reason he's not on a two fight losing streak is because Dana wanted the rematch with silva, otherwise he would have gotten fed to some BJJ guy at 185.LOL@ rampage not keeping his word...

Meh whatever man, Rampage isn't brazilian but if you gas early because of lack of steroid fuel, ought to consider biting your tongue off after being embarrassed again.

I think Chael would make a really good coach. But In terms of him taunting rampage i think he'd keep his mouth shut around page until there was plenty of security like he did with wandy.

That is awesome. Chael backs down form no challenge - even the ones he imagines. I'd pay to watch that. The trash talking would be Olympic level

Chael is smart though. He can turn every single argument with another fighter into a huge payday.

If Rashad almost made Rampage have a breakdown, we know Sonnen would. Especially if he says something that hits a nerve. That being said, Rampage would be in trouble like a fish on the dock.

I can't think of any reason why Dana wouldn't be drooling over this.
