Winner of Dos Santos/Nelson gets Title Shot

"You're going to see Cain and Brock fight, then coming up Dos Santos is going to fight ‘Big Country,’ and then the winner of that fight will get the next shot" he said after UFC 116
Nelson burst onto the UFC scene on the Ultimate Fighter 10: Heavyweights. On the show Nelson drew huge numbers with his first fight against Kimbo Slice. Many doubted Roy but he showed them wrong as he almost finished Kimbo in the first and then TKO'd him in the second. Next Roy fought the other two top guys in the house and made quick work of both James Mcsweeney and then Brendan Schaub in the finale. Nelson has been very impressive and a devastating KO victory over Stefan Struve now put him into a fight for the #1 Contender spot.
Junior dos Santos is one of the quickest rising Heavyweight stars in MMA. the 25 year old Brazilian has an impressive 10-1 record and has racked up victories over several tough guys since coming to the UFC. In his UFC debut He earned Knockout of the Night after beating Fabricio Werdum in just 1:20. Since then Dos Santos has seemed unstoppable with victories over Struve, Cro Cop, Yvel and most recently Gonzaga. Although I would give him a title shot after his last fight Dana White has one more challenge for him and its a BIG one.
The fight will take place at UFC 117 on August 7, 2010 in Oakland , California

I hope Dos Santos wins but Nelson is no joke I wouldn't be surprised if he pulls this off
I'm DEFINITELY not a Nelson fan, and I'm a HUGE JDS fan but I really think this will be a test for both of them... Nelson and JDS have done similar things in the UFC so far, even tho Nelson has been K.O'n people in the cage I think he'll look for a ground win vs JDS his stand up is 2 crisp to take a chance with... JDS train your sprawl game even more and K.O that man!!! JDS vs Brock Lesnar!!!!!!!

I'm not sure I agree with Nelson getting a title shot yet...he really hasn't beat anyone that is near the top of the HW division yet. Since joining the UFC he beat Brendan Schaub and Stefan Struve right?

Of course that's the childish deluded nonsense perspective. None of those organizations would have existed if they hadn't been able to ride in on the UFC's coat tails in the first place. They're run by people who don't know what they're doing, and they're run in to the ground. Same thing will happen to Strikeforce. And you'll blabber some nonsense about the UFC.

Im sorry but I have a problem with Roy Nelson in general.....him doing a jumping heel clicker with BurgerKing in the background has forever scarred my mind towards him.
i think if JDS wins he gets the title shot but if Nelson somehow pulls of a huge fat upset then he has another fight to get to title contention cuz hes only had like what 2 fights in the UFC....against a tall stick and brendan schaub. ill admit im biased but i just hate fat shits fighting in serious competition

If Brock fights JDS then he's getting KO'D by Lesnar. How do I know this? Brock KO'd him on my XBOX 360 Undisputed 2010 game that's how.
