Winner Of Koscheck VS Daley Gets A Shot At The Title

UFC president Dana White confirmed the long-expected plans during today's UFC 113 pre-event press conference at Montreal's Bell Centre. The same venue hosts Saturday's pay-per-view event, which includes the Daley vs. Koscheck fight. Koscheck (14-4 MMA, 12-4 UFC), a former NCAA Divison I wrestling champion, has stopped five of his 16 UFC opponents with strikes, which included recent highlight-reel finishes of Frank Trigg, Yoshiyuki Yoshida and Dustin Hazelett. Most recently, Koscheck eluded Anthony Johnson's dangerous striking to earn a submission victory via rear-naked choke at UFC 106. He's won two straight since a disappointing 1-2 stretch in which he suffered losses to Thiago Alves and Paulo Thiago. Daley (23-8-2 MMA, 2-0 UFC), who competed with organizations such as Cage Rage and EliteXC before signing with the UFC in 2009, is 2-0 in the promotion. With first-round knockouts of Martin Kampmann and Hazelett to push his current win streak to four, he's put himself one victory away from fighting the most prolific 170-pounder in the sport today. St-Pierre, a French-Canadian fighter, will watch this weekend's co-headliner carefully. Fresh off a lopsided unanimous-decision win over Dan Hardy, the title-holder has won seven straight fights with four consecutive title defenses. Although he's never fought Daley, St-Pierre owns an August 2007 decision victory over Koscheck. St-Pierre won an interim title after the win and then unified the belts with a TKO of Matt Hughes in his next outing. White has hinted St-Pierre and the Daley-Koscheck winner could coach on the upcoming 12th season of "The Ultimate Fighter." They'd then fight in a bout following the conclusion of the reality series, which begins in September and concludes in December.

nice post dude! was about to post it myself till i saw u beat me to it!
lol, im trying to beat you to the post now. can't you tell, lol i want a t.v. too
no! i'm just joking
poor Fitch. Dana just hatin on him. Fitch I believe would beat both of these guys but doesn't get a chance because Dana doesn't want a rematch of grinders. My hope is that Josh beats Daley and Pierre beats Josh and Fitch gets rematch. Dana seems like he'll let Undertaker fight GSP before Fitch.
the undertaker, where did that come from??? funny shit tho
This has been a contenders match all along.
i already knew that, but its good to give a heads up to the people that don't
thanks for the heads up man
Fitch is getting screwed here. He has only one UFC loss (to GSP) and is on a 4 fight win streak. Daley gets a title fight after only 3 fights if he wins? Sounds like another Dana White Public Relations move to me. I think he's dying to have a U.K. champion for obvious reasons.
