UFC, and Spike TV recently removed TUF season 3 winner, Kendall Grove vs Goran Relijic fight from their Spike airing of UFC 116 Prelim.  TUF alumni Seth Petruzelli taking on Romero will replace them.  Although No offical reason has been given.  Im am lead to believe that it was Grove's comments on Tapout radio critizing Spike TV, and the hit reality show The Ultimate Fighter.  He is was Grove had to say.

"Spike TV pretty much runs everything on The Ultimate Fighter. They could be sub-leasing the UFC name, but I'm sure Dana and the UFC are getting a nice little pay check from Spike but other than that, Spike runs the thing. Dana doesn't choose who's going to be on the show, it's Spike executives."

"Even when I was on there in the earlier seasons, they were picking a couple guys with funny personalities. I'm pretty sure I got on there not because of my good looks, but because I had a pretty good personality."

"Everything is ratings to these guys. Just like that season where they shot [expletive] inside the fruit...people do that stuff. Why? Because of ratings. Is it a health violation? Yeah, but did you see the Spike TV people stop that from happening? It sells ratings and that's all they care about. They could give two [expletives] about our career."

"They just care about the six-weeks that they're shooting and get as much drama and stupidity out of us. That's all we are to them is cattle and sheep. They way they run things, they're slowly controlling us to be like that."

Probally no offical statement will be issued as to why the fight was moved to the un aired prelims.  One can't help wonder that Spike, and Zuffa will not stand for any disruptive noise from someone within their organization to speakout about one of Zuffa's biggest buisness parterns.

When your name is Quentin Jackson you can get away with this type of talk. When you're a TUF winner who's post TUF career hasnt been all that stellar, maybe ya oughta keep yer trap shut, eh?

In regard to the "food" incident on TUF - set aside any health issues, which KG is right for pointing out and commenting on, it should be added, that it was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen on network TV and had no place on that show.

DW is always going on about how fighters, the sport and the brand are perceived by the general public. I don't know how many times I've heard Dana go on about that stuff, particularly if it involves a fight.

However, Dana doesn't seem to have a problem with pumping the house full of liquor (encouraging this sort of behavior) and allowing fighters to beat-off and place their ejaculate on someones food and place it in a refrigerator (as I recall the event). Or even for that matter, have fighters urinate on their housemates bedding and pillows as Chris and Vinny did; or put excrement in the back of a toilet.

None of this stuff was funny. Not of it was entertaining. It was simply disgusting and shows the fighters, sport and brand in a very unflattering light. This is the type of odd-ball behaviour they should get rid of and good for KG for saying so; if, indeed, that is his point.

And another thing - get rid of the liquor. They're supposed to be professionals (or trying to be) in a six week camp (an opportunity of a lifetime, IMO), one would think that they could go without a drink for (those six) weeks.
