White: 100% fit Brock Lesnar is not retiring
Posted on September 3, 2011, 05:35 AM by Anton GurevichUFC President Dana White dispelled any rumors around Brock Lesnar's possible retrement, declaring during the UFC on Fox Conference Call that the former UFC Heavyweight Champ is 100% fit and is ready to get back to training.
"That's ridiculous. It's so far from the truth it's not even funny. The guy's been working up on a farm up in Canada all summer. He's 100 percent. His surgery went great, he's 100 percent, he's getting back into training in the next couple of weeks." - Dana White during UFC on Fox 1 main event announcement conference call (quote via BloodyElbow.com)
Brock Lesnar was originally scheduled to square off against Junior Dos Santos earlier this year in the main event of UFC 131, but was forced to pull out of the fight due to a returning Diverticulitis illness. Frank Mir is widely considered as the main candidate to greet Lesnar in his return to the Octagon for a trilogy bout between the two.
However, it looks like Frank Mir is not the only one "in the mix" for a fight with Brock Lesnar. PRIDE legend Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira recently he would be more than happy to prove his worth against the former UFC Heavyweight Champion, possibly at UFC's return to Japan in February.

Yeah but who says he's 100% fit?
Dana White said that he's been working on a farm somewhere in Canada milking cows with his lunchbox fists and he's 100 percent so i guess he's healthy again
Nog out wrestled Couture. That is all Brock has. Big Nog wins that one.
Brock also has the size and weight advantage
and came up even with Randy in wrestling in their fight.
I don't want to seem like I am being very critical of Nog..but the shelf behind Ariel is very crooked...just a thing I have.
Big Nog via triangle arm bar.
Please fix the shelf, can't concentrate...I'll call.
I like seeing Brock fight when he is 100%, if he is 100% for real then i am excited to see him fight again
I really hope he actually is fit. Brock strikes me as someone who would still fight even if a doctor warned him he shouldn't. He doesn't NEED to fight now he has so much money from his WWE days he does it because he really wants to and geels like he has something to prove. In a way that's really refreshing I just hope he's not putting his life at risk by doing it.
F#$%^&* Brock!!!! no one gives a shite about your arse Brocky, whoever you fight next I hope you creamed you douche!!!!!!!!
brock might be a bit much for nog but it would be great to see nog knock him out plus if mir can submit lesnar i thnik nog could get it done to
I think that at this point there is a sure fire blueprint for beating Brock; hit him in the face and don't stop until he is doing cart wheels. Add to that Nog's ground game and I think Lesner is toast.
Nog is a LEGEND i had goose bumps when he KO'd Schaub.
A fight with Brock would be cool I'm 100% behing Nog to win that 1
not saying nog doesn't have a great chance to win but everyone counting brock out obviously have no clue what your talking about and should probably take up watching a new sport like mens figure skating..so i can quit waisting my time reading your idiotic opinions. brock out weighs nog by about 40 lbs of pure muscle. which give him a huge strength advantage. he's also one of the best wrestlers in history. to say cause nog outwrestled couture suggesting that he would be able to that to brock or even hold his own wrestling brock is ridiculous.
Brock is not one of the greatest wrestlers in history, he is mediocre. The only reason he did so well in college is that he was the one of the only somewhat somewhat athletic guys in his wt class. The reason Nog out wrestling Randy is relevant is that Lesner only came up even with Randy in the wrestling exchanges of their fight. Had that fight came to a decision Randy had it since he reversed every bad position Brock got him in and had more control against the fence while landing more punches and Lesner had about 50 lbs on him. Lesner also had around 40 lbs on Cain and it helped him zero. All Lesner has is wrestling and it isn't that good.
my bad should have said best ever in his weight class.. check out his high school and college record. like i said Nog has a great chance to win better stand up better jiu jitsu more experience.. still the comparison is ridiculous. go rub one off while watching blades of glory and quit watching mma.
I agree regarding Lesner but I think Carwin should get another shot at someone who matters first. He did have a pretty tight choke going when the fight with JDS ended. There should be a "no saved by the bell" rule for subs.
BRO WHERE DO YOU COME UP WITH THIS SHIT??? CARWIN GOT HIS ASS HANDED TO HIM BY JDS. AND U THINK THEY SHOULD CHANGE THE RULES BECAUSE HE TRIED A LAST SECOND DESPERATION SUBMISSION. GO BACK AND WATCH UFC 1 AND TELL ME THE FIGHTS ARNT MORE EXCITING NOW THE WAY THET ARE FORMATTED.
I think the UFC and Lesnar are faking this BS illness.
why?
Brock might need to come out the woods and join a camp that will really make him "FIGHT" during training. His strength conditioning is tops, but no one makes this massive machine run, and fight during the off-time, with that frame, I'd be pushing him like he was preparing for a 400 meter and steadily having his spar so he doesn't shy from punches; dodging is one thing, shying away is the worst defensive move possible. I like Brock, we all know his potential is endless, but pride and people's unwillingness to change their ways can lead to their downfall.
If thats true and he's not doing some sort of sparring in his off time. your right he will never reach his potential. he's super athletic and amazing wrestler but he's light years behind his competition in every other aspect of mma.
He has had MANY offers from Bas Rutten to go train after Bas realized that his style of shying away from punches was due to not fighting full contact in the gym enough. Bas said, "he hasn't been put under the condition where he's seen tons of punches come at his face," and that's very needed.
word?? if theres any one mans advice you should take in mma its probably Bas.. Brock has so much upside due to his athleticism but bas is right he hasn't been conditioned to take a hit. if you really think about it he's a baby to this sport.. hopefully he listens
When their both fit... I can't tell which is Big and Lil Nog
Wonder how he will take getting hit though.Once he was tagged he booked it as far as he could get.If he is still afraid of that...oh my.
